Thank you for your patience while we retrieve your images.

To get a feel for what type of portraits fit your family and home decor, we like to visit with you for a few minutes when we book your session. For every Family portrait session, we reserve a whole hour of time. Most sessions do not require that much time, but if you have small children that need time to warm up to strangers, or have a very large family, the time is already set aside. Because of the of the popularity of our Storyboards and albums, we do not simply take a quick shot of the family staring into the camera. Families are relationships! , and we want to show that. Brothers and sisters, moms and kids, dads and kids, kids alone, mom and dad, Grandma and grandkids - all of these are just some examples of the relationships we want to catch in pictures.

We also have a few options about where your family can be photographed. Our favorite is to photograph at your home or some other special place that will have meaning for you every time you look at your images for the next 50 - 100 years. Maybe your family likes to go to the lake, or has a cabin close by. Another option is to come to the studio and go outside if the time of year is right (usually April - mid November). We have many areas in our backyard/field studio that are so perfect for families. The other option is to be photographed indoors at our studio. We have countless backgrounds to match your clothing choices. This is also great if you have a child under a year old in the photograph. Little ones tend to NOT get lost in all the scenery if we photograph indoors. Of course this is the BEST choice if weather conditions are not good for outdoor images.
